Friday 5 March - Quiz Night

The last Quiz Night that Ann hosted was a tremendous success and this time she will be raising funds for NSPCC.

Cost is €3 with €1 going to charity and there is a cash prize for the winners.  Starts at 8pm at Quinta Cafe.

Follow the IC3 to the last exit for Tomar (coming from North), also signed Barragem do Castelo do Bode. At the roundabout follow the signs for Castelo do Bode (going under the IC3) and straight over the next roundabout. Qunita Cafe is 3km on the right (yellow building)

When do we meet?

Ansião - 1st Tuesday of the month

Tomar - 2nd Wednesday

Lousã - Last Thursday of the month with Thursday 28 January being the first.

All gatherings start at around 10.30 am and carry on until about 12.30.  You are free to stay on later than this if you want.

Where do we meet ?

Ansião - Esplanade Olhos d' Agua,  Rua Herois de Ultramar, Ansião

Coffee Morning, Ansiao

 

Tomar - Estalagem de Sta. Iria, Mouchão Parque, 2300-586 Tomar.

I have had some trouble finding an online map of Tomar which shows the island in the River Nabao which is the home of the Estalagem.  So my best efforts at a description. 

Cross the old bridge or at least make your way to it and the main Post Office (Correios) which faces the river and the parks.  There is an old wooden waterwheel and just in front of it there is a small bridge which you can cross and drive down the avenue of trees to the Estalagem which lies at the end. There is some parking here. The Hotel Templarios is directly behind it.  Please note there is no direct access from the Hotel Templarios to the Estalagem without walking around to the front.

It is really easy to find it is mostly that people do not think they can cross the river on the bridge and you can.

Lousã

At the Pousada de Juventude, Rua da Feira, in their lounge/bar area on the left from the front door and there is parking in the front. I believe the building is slightly to the left of the marker on the page.
